FAQS

WHEN IS THE NEXT DROP?

We hope to have a shop “drop” every 6 weeks or so. We also plan to offer some pre-orders of select color combinations.

DO YOU EVER GET BURNED?

Burns happens from time to time but not as bad as you may expect. Molten glass ranges from 1000-2100 degrees so sometimes I get burns or blisters from being in such close proximity to the glass, similar to a sun burn. Most often, though, I get burned from handling a hot metal tool that has just been used.

WHY IS GLASS SO EXPENSIVE?

Glass in general is more expensive than ceramics and other materials because of the energy cost, as well as the amount of time it takes to become proficient at it. Glass is a medium with a steep learning curve. Access to studios can also be a barrier because of the expenses associated with it, such as equipment cost, utilities, assistants, materials, and personal tools.

DO YOU HAVE WORK FOR SALE AT YOUR STUDIO?

I wish I could have an open studio where visitors could come and observe glass being made and see my finished work in person, but unfortunately in the time of Covid-19 we are not open to the public. The only exception to this is local pickup of objects purchased online.
